The present report examines the significance of the retailer Marks and Spencer's human resource strategies in the development of a new business venture in China. The new business venture will need expatriates' knowledge and expertise, considering the perspectives of progress and expansion in the Asian region. Moreover, the novel human resource strategies that have to be adopted in new business situations will echo on new conditions. Furthermore, the necessity for adjustment on the part of the English staff will also be distinguished with Kotter’s eight-step change model.
